Overview

Five floors, zero dead rooms

Beacon House is a 120-room boutique hotel whose reviews kept mentioning one thing: the Wi-Fi. Guests couldn’t stream in corner rooms, the conference floor dropped during events, and the front desk fielded the complaints.

We rebuilt wireless end to end — predictive design, new cabling to every AP location, cloud-managed access points and a branded guest portal — floor by floor, without closing a single room.

Challenge

Concrete, mirrors, full occupancy

Thick concrete slabs between floors, mirrored walls in every suite and a fully booked hotel meant no noisy daytime work and no signal behaving the way textbooks say it should. The old system — a handful of ISP routers per floor — collapsed every evening at check-in rush.

Approach

Surveyed, staged, silent

  • 01 — Predictive model on architectural plans set AP count and positions per floor.
  • 02 — New Cat6A drops pulled overnight to each AP location; day guests heard nothing.
  • 03 — Staff, guest, conference and IoT networks segmented with per-device limits.
  • 04 — Validation walk with survey gear; power and channels tuned until corner rooms passed.

Outcome

Complaints stopped; reviews mention the Wi-Fi positively

Validated coverage

Every room and meeting space measured against design targets at handover.

Branded guest portal

One-tap login with fair-use limits that keep streamers from crowding others out.

Monitored 24/7

Beacon House stayed on a care plan — we see AP faults before the night desk does.
